Coco the monkey woke up one sunny morning. He stretched and yawned, ready to start his day.

But something felt different. Coco reached behind to scratch his back, and gasped. His tail was gone!

"Oh no!" Coco cried. "Where's my tail?" He looked under his bed, but it wasn't there.

Coco ran to his friend Bella the bird. "Bella, have you seen my tail?" he asked.

Bella flapped her wings. "No, Coco. But I'll help you look!" They searched the treetops together.

They looked in every nest and behind every leaf. But Coco's tail was nowhere to be found.

Next, they met Leo the lion. "Leo, have you seen my tail?" Coco asked hopefully.

Leo shook his mane. "Sorry, Coco. I haven't. But I'll join the search!" They looked in the grass.

They peeked under rocks and behind bushes. Still, no sign of Coco's tail.

Coco felt sad. "Maybe my tail is gone forever," he sighed. His friends hugged him.

"Don't give up, Coco!" Bella chirped. "Let's think. Where else could it be?" Leo nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, Coco had an idea. "The banana tree! I was there yesterday!" Off they went.

At the banana tree, they looked high and low. But Coco's tail wasn't there either.

Coco's tummy rumbled. All this searching made him hungry. He reached for a banana.

As he peeled the banana, something tickled his back. Coco giggled and turned around.

There, wrapped around a bunch of bananas, was his tail! "I found it!" Coco shouted with joy.

Bella and Leo cheered. "Your tail was playing hide and seek!" Bella laughed. Leo grinned.

Coco hugged his tail. "Oh, you silly tail! Please don't scare me like that again."

To celebrate, Coco shared bananas with his friends. They had a big monkey picnic.

As they ate, Coco's tail swished happily. He was so glad to have it back.

"Thank you for helping me search," Coco said to Bella and Leo. They smiled at their friend.

That night, Coco went to bed, hugging his tail close. He didn't want to lose it again.

The next morning, Coco woke up feeling strange again. Something was different.

He looked at his reflection in a puddle and gasped. His ears were purple!

"Oh no!" Coco cried. "Now my ears are playing tricks on me!" He ran to find his friends

Bella and Leo couldn't stop giggling when they saw Coco's purple ears. "What happened?" they asked.

Coco scratched his head. "I don't know! They were normal yesterday." His purple ears wiggled.

"Maybe they wanted to match the purple flowers," Bella suggested, pointing to nearby blooms.

"Or perhaps they're jealous of your tail's adventure," Leo chuckled. Coco's tail swished proudly.

Coco laughed. "Well, I guess I'm a colorful monkey now!" His friends nodded in agreement.

They decided to have a purple party to celebrate Coco's new look. Everyone brought purple foods.

There were purple grapes, purple berries, and even purple bananas! Coco was amazed.

As they enjoyed their purple feast, Coco's ears started to tingle. He touched them curiously.

Suddenly, the purple color began to fade. His ears were turning back to normal!

"Look!" Bella squawked. "Your ears are changing!" Leo watched in wonder.

Soon, Coco's ears were their usual brown color again. He felt relieved but also a little sad.

"I kind of liked being purple," Coco admitted. His friends smiled understandingly.

"You're special no matter what color you are," Bella chirped. Leo nodded in agreement.

Coco grinned. "You're right! And I'll always have my tail to make me unique."

From that day on, Coco appreciated his tail more than ever. And he never lost it again!
